Weekly number of reported cases in England is over 42 000.

Case reporting by England only. Weekly number of reported cases at over 75 000.

Number of positive cases per day rose sharply in July to over 54 000.

Over 18 000 people are in UK hospitals with the virus. Deaths are averaging over 400 people per day.

The number of people testing positive in England is in decline but remains around 30 000 per day.
